Today, I am going to rant about the current filler arc.

Episode 149, the fifth one in the arc, came out today. Watching it, I realised something.

There are two women and a trap in this arc. One is Sakura. The other is Hotaru. Now, like I said, we're five episodes into the arc with the end still not in sight.

So far, Sakura has been left behind to heal someone and punched Naruto. On the other worse hand, Hotaru has been a near-constant DiD and when she hasn't, has mainly been used to provide Utakata with a reason to have angsty flashbacks.

I read this post over on fanficrants and it made me wonder how Itachi and Shisui's relationship would change if one or even both of them were the opposite gender.

In case you're wondering where on earth fem!Shisui's name came from, it's an alternative reading of the kanji that make up 'still water' which is one possible meaning of Shisui.

So I don't know if any of you are keeping up with the anime but I watched the latest two episodes today.

I'm kinda working on a couple of long-ish Shisui fics at the moment but they're not going anywhere fast and I've read a lot of good fics lately so I thought I'd pimp some of them.

Apparently if you were paying attention to the panel where his chakra network was shown in 459, you might have noticed that there was something weird about his shoulder as well...

I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned this but I don't like Sasuke.

That always makes me feel guilty because he's been through incredibly awful things both before and during the series. If it was anyone else, I'd consider them a tragic figure and feel sympathy for them. For some reason, I can't do that with him though.

I'm not sure if this is due to Kishimoto's portrayal of him or the fact that he's such a polarising figure in fandom. (I came to read the series after the fanfiction which never helps.)

Anyway, I made an AU!Fugaku (blindsurvivor ) recently and he got into a particularly touching thread with a Sasuke.

So basically, to avoid doing a tl;dr, I like RP!Sasukes, just not the canon one.

Also, I'm now up to nineteen separate accounts. Fear my army of muses!

I was thinking about Shisui and his ability again as I'm RPing him at the moment and this came to mind. It's really more to get me back into writing than anything else.
